Terms of Service

Last updated: May 31, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you," the "Customer," or your organization) and Altiscope AI ("Altiscope," "we," or "us") for your use of the Altiscope platform, web application, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

If you're entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. References to "you" in these Terms include that organization.

2. What the Service Does

Altiscope aggregates and synthesizes public-record information from sources including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the federal contracting record, the U.S. Congress, and licensed news sources. The Service applies machine-learning summarization and correlation models to help you discover and contextualize that information.

The Service surfaces evidence; it does not give financial, investment, legal, medical, or tax advice. We do not recommend securities, prescribe buy/sell/hold decisions, or provide fiduciary services. Any decision you make in reliance on Service output is solely your own, and you should consult qualified professionals as appropriate.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

To use the Service you must (a) be at least 18 years old, (b) provide accurate registration information, (c) keep your credentials confidential, and (d) be solely responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

The Service is provided on a subscription basis through one of our published plans (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise) at the prices listed at altiscope.co/#pricing or as separately negotiated for Enterprise customers. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. and authorizes us to charge your payment method on the agreed cadence.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless canceled. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we don't refund partial periods unless required by law.

For plan changes initiated mid-cycle, Stripe will pro-rate the difference and charge or credit your payment method accordingly.

5. AI Credits and Usage Limits

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. Credits are consumed by AI-powered Copilot searches and certain reasoning features. The monthly allowance refreshes at the start of each billing cycle. One-time credit packs you purchase carry over month to month and are consumed only after your monthly grant is exhausted.

We reserve the right to set fair-use limits to protect Service stability. We'll notify you before applying any limit that materially restricts your access.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to build a competing product or service or to create a substantially similar dataset.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract Service content beyond the rate limits and documented APIs.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to make automated trading decisions without an independent human review process; we do not warrant Service output as suitable for that purpose.
  • Upload or transmit any unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
  • Interfere with the Service's normal operation, security, or other users' access.

7. Data Sources and Accuracy

The Service synthesizes information from public records and third-party sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or error-free. AI-generated summaries may contain inaccuracies; you should verify material facts against the underlying sources we cite before relying on them for any decision.

8. Intellectual Property

We retain all right, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, models, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription.

The underlying public-record source material (SEC filings, federal contracts, patents, FDA records, etc.) is in the public domain or licensed from its respective owners; our rights are limited to the proprietary synthesis, summaries, and correlations we add.

9. Confidentiality

To the extent you share confidential information with us through support requests, account configuration, or Enterprise onboarding, we'll treat it with at least the same care we treat our own confidential information of similar sensitivity and won't disclose it except to our personnel who need to know to deliver the Service or as required by law.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information surfaced by the Service is accurate, complete, or current. The Service is not investment advice, legal advice, medical advice, or any other professional advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any third-party claims arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of law or the rights of any third party.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms (including non-payment) or if we're required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes take effect 30 days after posting; continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The federal and state courts in San Francisco County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes; you and we each waive any objection to that venue.
